    DVA Mediterranean Tourist Charters

12:00 pmLXGB Gibraltar, Spain AB to LEAM Almeria, Spain

Delta Virtual Airlines (DVA) has been contracted by the Spanish government to provide tourist charter flights to well-known Mediterranean tourist destinations.

NOTE: Flight Times calculated for FL 18K and 230Kts

This first charter series consists of two flights:

    #A: LXGB-Gibraltar AB (Spain) to LEAM-Almerai (Spain)(150nm, Flight Time approximately :37)

    Tourist Information Briefing:

(LXGB) Gibraltar AB, Spain Red pillar boxes, fish-and-chip shops and creaky 1970s seaside hotels: Gibraltar – ‘The Rock’ overstates its Britishness, a bonus for pub-grub and afternoon-tea lovers. Poised strategically at the jaws of Europe and Africa, Gibraltar, with its Palladian architecture and camera-hogging Barbary macaques, makes an interesting break from the white towns of bordering Cádiz province. Playing an admirable supporting role is the swashbuckling local history; the Rock has been British longer than the United States has been American.

(LEAM) Almería, Spain Silent mountain valleys, sublime beaches and vast tracts of semi desert scrubland – Almería province is an area of haunting natural beauty. Despite this, and despite enjoying 3000 hours of annual sunshine, it remains relatively unknown outside of Spain. Its obvious drawcard is its glorious coastline, most notably the thrilling beaches of the Parque Natural de Cabo de Gata-Níjar, and the lively, good-time resort of Mojácar. But venture inland, and you'll discover plenty to explore in its sparsely populated and often other-worldly hinterland. Tour the spaghetti-western badlands of the Desierto de Tabernas and discover underground treasures in the Sorbas caves. Further north, the wooded peaks of Los Vélez provide a majestic backdrop for mountain walking. After so much nature, the port city of Almería offers a welcome blast of urban energy with its impressive monuments, handsome centre and buzzing tapas bars.

    #B: LEAM-Almerai (Spain) to LEAL-Alicante (Spain) (171nm, Flight Time approximately :32)

    Tourist Information Briefing:

(LEAL) Alicante (Spain) Of all Spain's mainland provincial capitals, Alicante (Valenciano: Alacant) is the most influenced by tourism, thanks to the nearby airport and resorts. Nevertheless it is a dynamic, attractive Spanish city with a castle, old quarter and long waterfront. The eating scene is exciting and the nightlife is absolutely legendary, whether you're chugging pints with the stag parties at 7pm or twirling on the dance floor with the locals seven hours later. On a weekend night it's impossibly busy and buzzy year-round.

    12:00 pmEKCH Kastrup. Copenhagen Intl

Thought I would throw in this little Group Flight to celebrate a birthday. On April 23 this old geek turned 70 and I thought we could relive my very first flight that I experienced in 1961 at the age of 12. Family vacation to the island of Bornholm. And by plane...wow...I thought..exciting. So we boarded the Convair CV340 "Metropolitan" and off we went......an amazing 25 minute flight.

We will do the return as well

MISSION BRIEF: Well, we all made it back safe from our dangerous missions in North Africa. We are all gathered at the DVA KCVG Hub in Cincinnati Ohio when word came down that the President of the United States wanted all participating DVA mission pilots to meet him on Air Force One at Andrews AFB Maryland for a full debriefing for him, his cabinet members, and the Military Joint Chiefs of Staff before he heads out to NATO Headquarters at Brussels Belgium.

You can go to this link to get a photo tour of Air Force One: https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/a-tour-of-air-force-one/ Michel V. can give us a guided tour of this aircraft since he has flown this plane so many times and is a personal friend of D. Trump.

Meet us on the DVA TeamSpeak Server Between 11:30-11:45 EDT for pilot briefs.
We will be using the JoinFS multiplayer flight application.
